So a customer has sent in an email along the lines of:
I tried to go onto the website last night and today but, my password doesn't
work. So, I entered my e-mail for a reset link but, I don't get an e-mail
in return - as if I had no account.
So one of the following could be occurring:
- Customer has an account and is having issues receiving their email. As a merchant, you can test the reset password functionality on the website, do you get the email? If not, then this should be reported to CD. If you do get the email, its possible the customers email provider is blocking the message of one of the below items:
- Verify if the customer actually has an account in Magento. Customers-> Manage Customers. Search for the email address there. If not found, then they DO NOT have an account. If they ordered, its possible they used guest checkout and thus still do not have an account.
